The Forbo FloorCare system

Forbo resilient floorings can be simply and efficiently cared for. Durable finishes on Forbo floorings emphasise the beautiful structure and colours, and provide the perfect base for an efficient and easy floor care system. Cleaning and maintenance can then be performed by a few simple actions.  
 
Excellence in floor care performance of Forbo floorings is based on a combination of high performance finishes on our products and the well designed Forbo FloorCare system. This system involves a smart combination of simple and effective cleaning and maintenance, thus keeping costs of cleaning and maintenance pleasantly low.

Forbo FloorCare products form the base for these cleaning and maintenance methods. These products were developed and tested as a system; many years of experience proved their excellent performance.

Forbo Cleaner (10l. can)

For cleaning of Marmoleum and project vinyl

Spot removal
  • Remove spots with Cleaner and (damp) mop
    Area cleaning
  • Clean with Cleaner and mop
  • Pick up dirty water with wiper and mop or water vac
  • Rinse with clean water and (damp) mop
  • Allow floor to dry
    Dilution (for spot removal or area cleaning)
  • Add 50 ml of Cleaner to 10 l of water
     
    •  
    Forbo Spray (concentrated, 10 l. can)

    For mechanical cleaning and maintenance of Marmoleum and projectvinyl

    Periodic cleaning
  • Spray clean with rotary machine and buffing pad, use Spray where necessary
    Occasional maintenance
  • Scrub with Cleaner, rotary machine and scrub pad
  • Pick up dirty water with wiper and mop or water vac
  • Rinse with clean water and mop
  • Allow floor to dry
  • Dry buff with rotary machine and buffing pad
  • Apply full Spray film with rotary machine and buffing pad
    Dilution
  • Add one part of Spray to one part of water
     
    •  
    Forbo Spray (ready to use; 0.5 l. gun bottle)

    For spray cleaning of Marmoleum and project vinyl

    Regular cleaning
  • Wipe with dust mop and dust cloth
  • Remove spots with Cleaner and (damp) mop
  • Spray clean with rotary machine and buffing pad, use Spray where necessary
    Dilution:
  • New spray bottle contains ready for use solution.
    Refill:
  • Add one part of Spray to one part of water

    Products – Manual Monel method

     
    Forbo Monel (10 l can)

    For manual cleaning and maintenance of Marmoleum and project vinyl

    Regular cleaning
  • Wipe with dust mop and dust cloth
  • Remove spots with Monel and (damp) mop
    Periodic cleaning
  • Wipe with dust mop and dust cloth
  • Clean with Monel and mop
  • Apply Monel film with Monel solution and mop
  • Allow floor to dry
    Occasional maintenance
  • Scrub with Monel and scrub brush
  • Pick up dirty water with wiper and mop or water vac
  • Rinse with clean water and mop
  • Apply Monel film using Monel solution and mop
  • Allow floor to dry
    Dilution
  • For Monel film application add 0.5 l of Monel to 10 l. of water
  • Monel may also be used as a cleaner: add 0.25 l of Monel to 10 l. of water

    Forbo TopRemover (10 l. can)

    For removal of TopFinish on Marmoleum

    Removal
  • Apply adequate solution of TopRemover
  • Soak for 10 minutes
  • Scrub with hand scrubber or rotary machine and scrub pad
  • Pick up dirty water with wiper and mop or water vac
  • Rinse with clean water and mop
  • Allow floor to dry
    Dilution
  • Add one part of TopRemover to one part of water
     
    •  
    Forbo TopFinish (10 l. can)

    For renovation of TopFinish on Marmoleum

    Removal
    First remove the damaged topfinish with Forbo TopRemover as prescribed.
    Renovation
  • Apply TopFinish with sheepskin applicator
  • Allow floor to dry
    Afterwards, re-establish the chosen FloorCare regime;
    Either the mechanical Spray method
  • Dry buff with rotary machine, buffing pad,
  • Full spray with Spray, rotary machine and buffing pad
    Or the manual Monel method
  • Apply Monel film using Monel solution and mop
  • Allow the floor to dry.
    Dilution
  • TopFinish should not be diluted
